The Canadian version of 1963 by Parker Brothers. It has the very unusual red lithographed box with the excellent black and white artwork of soldiers in battle on horseback and on foot. The box reads "Risk, The World Strategy Game...Printed and Packaged in Canada by Parker Brothers, Division of General Mills, Ages 13 and up, 3 to 6 players, No. A-44". Excellent green backed game board, wooden army playing pieces , box insert where the plastic containers and deck of cards rest. The instruction booklet is fairly thick with both the english and french language versions. The cards are dated 1959. The game board is also only dated 1959. The instructions sheet includes the dates 1959,1963, and there are no dates to be found on the box. The wooden armies are colored red, black, yellow, pink, green, and blue. The cards to the playing deck count a complete 44 plus the one trademark card and deck box. This game is a great treasure for anyone who is an avid game collector! The last game like this one sold on Ebay for $ 190.00 !
