i got this via an email as a tip : LogMeIn - Remote Control Products, a handy website. Whenever a friend is in need of computerhelp you can just login to this website and take over the pc of your friend to help him out (if he is connected ofcourse...)

it seems it is much faster than gotomypc AND it is free.

commentaar: Windows XP nowadays also provides remote desktop facilities (see properties of My Computer, Remote tab), if you both happen to run XP, i.e.
